how to get new exterior cable run?
how do you get a new exterior cable?
the line that runs to my townhouse was put in in 1985. This line has had numerous splices repaired over the years. In 2018 I contacted xfinity about replacing my decades old fios account. while looking at plans through the net I was also on your chat. The chat person promised me everything under the sun including a new exterior line. I order for a self install. once receiving my equipment I placed it only to find out that I had no service on the outside of the house. six weeks later someone came and SPLICED the wire in two places. I hooked in and cancelled FIOS even though I was not provided what I was promised. The first time it rained my cable was on the fritz. Cable tv would go in and out and the internet would not allow streaming. this went on for months every time it rained for more than an hour the cable would act up and every time I called about it I was told they were getting good signal there and that "I" would have to call to set up a service appointment. I did this a couple of times. Each tech would tell me the cable has signal. NO ONE would come out when it was raining.
I finally gave up and returned to FIOS. Unfortunately while I had xfinity I grew to like it one sunny days.
so my real question is who do I turn to to get a straight answer on weather or not xfinity will replace a 37 year old faulty wire.

Hi user_1e1663, thank you for taking the time out of your day to get this concern addressed. It's a shame that we had to lose you as a customer due to such a minor issue that could have been rectified with a simple tech visit. We can certainly schedule a tech to come out and replace the coax cable outside with a new cable. I had this done at my home last year due to wear and tear, so I know for certain we can get this worked out for you as well. Are you planning on coming back as a subscriber? Or would you just want to line replaced?
