How to confirm authorized line work?

Someone in a pickup truck marked “Comcast authorized contractor” came to our block today and I saw him installing a line from a box at the top of a power pole and running the line to the front of our house. He said he was putting in a new line to improve our connection. Just wondering if this is legit or something I should I be suspicious about. Thanks!
