How to add unlimited data plan

I use my own modem so I have a 1.2 tb data cap. How do I enroll in unlimited data plan? I try to add it online but it doesn't work. I can't send a direct secure message either.

If I add the unlimited data plam in the middle of the month, will the plan start right away or next month? Thanks,

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Sending an unrequested direct message to the support team is a violation of their forum guidelines.

Please see this post about direct messaging the support team;

Greetings, @Remygeegee00! I hope your week has been treating you well. Thanks so much for taking a moment out of your busy day to leave a post on our community forum. I'm sorry to hear you're having issues adding unlimited data to your account, but we can take care of that for you from here.

You mentioned you were unable to send us a direct message. I have seen this happen with other forum users who have disabled notifications in their profile settings, or requested not to be contacted by us. If you can temporarily lift these restrictions, you should be able to get a message through to us.

Our good friend, @BruceW, created this excellent explanation for sending a direct message.

To send a private message to Xfinity Support from any Forum page:

  • Click "Sign In" (if necessary - there will be a visible prompt)
  • Click the "Direct Messaging" (square speech bubble) icon
  • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
  • The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there.
  • As you are typing, a drop-down list will appear. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
  • An "Xfinity Support" graphic should replace the "To:" line
  • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
  • Press Enter to send it
