How long till internet is restored?
Hello. I’m in Fort Myers Florida. We have had power for a few days but no internet. I’ve not seen one truck anywhere near us. I’ve tried calling xfinity and I cannot talk to a person! I run a business from my home and need internet. All I’d like to know is about when will they start repairing or would it be better to go with another provider? It is only xfinity customers over here that are without internet. Thank you for your answer in advance

Good afternoon, @user_767a6c. I know this has been a tough road for many with the hurricane and its aftermath. I apologize that you have been without service for so long and understand how frustrating it is to go through. Our Technicians update the Xfinity My Account app and the Status Center with any estimated times. If the message shows that an estimated time is not currently available we will see the same thing on our end. We have been and will continue to work around the clock to get all of the repairs done. Have you been able to check the app and sign up for a text alert?

That is tough when the time changes, @user_767a6c . We never like having to extend the estimated time and apologize that has happened. I am glad you are signed up for the texts so you will know the moment it is back online. Our Xfinity WiFi Hotspots are all open so you may be able to connect to one of them. I would like to take a look at your address and can follow the work and reach out with any updates. Please send us a direct chat message with your full name and complete service address to “Xfinity Support”. To do so, click on the chat icon located at the top right of this forums page.
Here's the detailed steps to direct message us:
• Click "Sign In" if necessary
• Click the "Direct Message” icon (upper right corner of this page)
• Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
• Type "Xfinity Support" in the to line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list
• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
• Press Enter to send your message
