Your question is likely above their understanding. Your question is specific to cellular networks as those are both standards for the way networks work. Xfinity does not own their own mobile network they piggyback on Verizon Wireless which is the largest carrier in the US and it still uses the CDMA technology. However Verizon Wireless has been trying to deprecate their older CDMA network since 2022 moving to a more robust LTE network that allows for GSM and LTE programming of devices, which as you know is more SIM card technology based. I assume you're asking this question because you're bringing phones in to the US and you want to know if you can use the Xfinity Mobile system for your devices as it's important to have this information when budgeting and planning for the future. Or the opposite is true meaning you have Xfinity Mobile and you're moving out of country to another mobile provider. If the later it's easier and cheaper to sell your US based equipment and buy local equipment once you can make the move. Porting your number is a little more difficult and little more side-questy than we probably need to get into until you're more specific with your needs.

I am NOT an Xfinity Employee so I may be full of myself, please do your own due diligence as required. I will add your question is probably better geared for Verizon Wireless and will require you to known the exact manufacturer and model number of the devices you're inquiring about as devices can be network specific. As for the American speaking representative, those have long since vanished when the corporate decision makers decided it was more cost effective to send our money overseas to invest in foreign countries than to pay living wages in America, you've probably heard of the term corporate greed, which applies to your question. To talk to US based representatives you have to be escalated out of the tier one system you call into, which is virtually impossible for a reason.

Take care.
