How do I return equipment never activated

I was sent an Xfinity gateway that I haven't used and when I go to make a return, it won't let me because it doesn't show I have any equipment on my account. I'm not sure why I was even sent this as I told the Xfinity salesperson that I was still under contract with another internet provider and wouldn't be able to switch for awhile. How do I get a label from Comcast to return their equipment?

@kevs90 Sorry to hear you recieved equipment you were not expecting. Here: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/returning-your-equipment?linkId=85670289 are the steps to initiate a return of your equipment. We have an awesome partnership with UPS and will take care of the postage for you!

You can schedule an at-home pickup by initiating the equipment return at the Digital Returns Center, printing the UPS return label, boxing up the equipment and then calling 1-800-PICK-UPS to schedule the pickup. You will need the tracking number from the UPS return label to schedule the pickup. Or you can always visit a local service center to return the boxes. If you are needing any assistance in locating a service center you can follow this link: https://www.xfinity.com/support/service-center-locations/ to locate one near you.

@XfinityDena Thanks for the quick reply. The problem with these steps is I already followed the steps once I was signed in, but no devices show up as ones to check off to return. Is that because I never activated the device? I'm not sure.

That could be the cast @kevs90 If you can't print a label that is no issue. UPS or the Xfinity service center can take back the equipment without a label too.
