How do I increase my data usage limit?

Can I increase my data usage limit by a small amount rather than jumping to the unlimited option? I wouldn't mind paying $5 extra per month for an extra 200 GB for example, but I think the unlimited data is $30 a month? That's not worth it. I hope there's something in-between $10 per 50GB and $30 for unlimited, otherwise this is just ridiculous.

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

I totally agree, $10 per 50GB over is outrageous!  The 1.2T cap isn't enough for a gaming family in 2024.  And $30 more per month to go unlimited it also outrageous considering how much we pay already for internet+tv+phone+cell for a family of 4.  xfinity doesn't care because they can get away with it and know everyone will pay because there isn't really an alternative...

Thank you so much for taking the time out of your day to reach out @user_b6b38a

1.2 TB is a massive amount. With it, you can:

• Stream between 480 and 560 of HD video a month.
• Stream more than 150 hours of 4K video a month.
• Stream more than 21,600 hours of music.
• Spend nearly 3,500 hours of videoconferencing (Zoom, FaceTime, Google Duo, Houseparty, etc.).
• Play more than 34,400 hours of online games in a month.
• Watch nearly 1,200 hours of distance learning videos on Seesaw or Google Classroom.
• Participate in 390 hours of virtual workouts (Peloton, The Mirror, etc).

If a customer chooses to utilize 1.2 TB in a month, we will automatically add 50 GBs increments to their account for an additional $10 fee per month per increment.  The charge will not exceed $100 each month regardless of usage. I would be happy to assist you with the current promotions to have unlimited data added to the account. I know even in my own household our data usage has increased and changed a lot since I am working from home and my kids are back in school. You can monitor your data usage using your Xfinity app and with our Data Usage Center with the link: https://www.xfinity.com/learn/internet-service/data?linkId=137770825. You can learn more about our unlimited data packages with the link: https://www.xfinity.com/learn/internet-service/data as well as add them there too!

Please send me a Direct Message with your name and service address so that I can fully dive into this for you! I will leave you instructions on how to initiate the message with us! I look forward to working with you soon!

I understand your concerns, and while we don't have a plan of some sort that would allow you to pay a set fee for more data, If you exceed your 1.2 TB data usage plan in a particular month, you'll see a usage charge of $10 for every additional 50 GB of data over the 1.2 TB included in your plan in the Xfinity Internet section of your bill.
