How do I get through to a live tech support agent?
There are times when I need technical or customer support and lately it has become next to impossible to reach a live person via chat or non-intelligent bots. When I call, which is rare, I have a question that the bot can't answer but I can't reach a live person to talk with. I spent most of an hour today trying every conceivable way to get past the roadblocks setup by the bot which would not connect me to a live agent no matter what. There are times when I'm trying to help an elderly client of mine with their issues at Xfinity and have the same issue. I don't need to reset the Comcast equipment to solve my questions, but I'm forced to do so or threatened that bypassing that will make me wait longer for technical support, or as today I'm simply disconnected! If Comcast wants to improve customer support, they need to provide a simple option to reach a live agent on any topic without wasting a half hour or more trying to trick the bot into cooperating. You're wasting my time and my client's time and expense when I need tech support and can't find a reasonable way to get it. In the future, how can I reach real live support in a reasonably simple way without uselessly restarting my service?
