How do I get actual support from xfinity?

I am a new customer and signed up for 1100Mbps, but I'm getting a fraction of that with significant latency. My attempts to contact support steer me to an inept bot that just wants to charge me for a technician to come onsite. I have never experienced worse customer service. 

How do I actually speak with someone who can help? What phone number do I call?
