How do i get a xb10
i have 2000mbs download and 300upload. people in my town already have the xb10 even if they are 500mb down and 500 mbs up. Considering the xb10 is supposed to help with latency, heat, and the list goes on what does it take to get one. my work is thru the internet and found upgrading to xb8 was a bad idea. much worse than xb7. Are the xb10 in short supply or whats the deal. ive been a costumer for 7 or so years. are they that exclusive or what? i dont understand this only certain neighborhoods getting them stuff. I mean if you've got loyal customers why would you not give them one especially with the Fiber optics coming in fast (prices way low). I understand not giving them to someone who has 200mb plan because its way overkill. These things are so elusive its like hunting a unicorn only more rare. whats really going on.

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Greetings, @user_qtp59a! I hope your week has been treating you well. Thanks so much for taking a moment out of your busy day to leave a post on our community forum about upgrading your gateway. You have definitely come to the right place for assistance.
You are correct that the new XB10 is still in limited supply right now. We try to reserve them for neighborhoods with the new FDX Internet configuration offering symmetrical speeds. It is the preferred equipment for FDX speed tiers at 300 Mbps and above. The XB10 will also work with our Next Generation Internet configurations, but it hasn't really shown to give much of an advantage over the XB8.
Can you tell me a little more about what's been happening with your XB8? You mentioned it was actually worse than the XB7. What kind of issues have you been having? Have you done any troubleshooting or tried to determine if there was an issue with your particular device? We definitely want to ensure you are having the best experience possible, regardless of which gateway you have in place.
