How can I speak to a live agent?
I have been trying for days to speak to an actual customer service agent, can anyone please help me? Every time I call, I am routed to Xfinity's chat assistant, which cannot understand my query.
All I want to know is whether I should receive an Xfinity Gateway with my Getting Started package or if I need to buy my own router/modem. Please help!

Hey there, that would all depend on what you ordered. I can confirm it for you however.
Here are the detailed steps to direct message us:
• Click "Sign In" if necessary
• Click the "Direct Message" icon (upper right corner of this page)
• Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
• Type "Xfinity Support" in the to line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list
• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
• Press Enter to send your message

Yes, Yes it is. You know the most amazing thing happened. The icon was not there is I have already told you. Then after my other posts above, it miraculously appeared. So that solves the mystery of the missing icon. Now how about you tell us how to get a human on the phone to help us. You know like what was asked of you.

They have made it impossible to speak with an agent. They have a monopoly and are doing whatever they please.

They have made it impossible to speak with a human. They are a monopoly and are doing whatever they please! They need to be regulated as a monopoly!!!!!
