how can i get the xb8 modem?

I currently have the xb7 modem and i want to get the xb8. Is there a way i can get it? I do have the xfi complete

Hello and thanks for reaching out @Rukia_k. To be able to get our XB8 modem currently, you will need to have our Gigabit internet services. If you do, we can put in a request for one. If there is not any XB8's you will be sent an XB7. Would you like to put in for an XB8 with me today? If so, let's get your account pulled up. Please send me a direct message with your first and last name, along with your complete service address to “Xfinity Support”. To do so, click on the chat icon located at the top right of this forums page.   

Here are detailed steps to direct message us:  

  • Click "Sign In" if necessary 
  • Click the direct message icon
  • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon 
  • Type "Xfinity Support" in the to line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list 
  • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window 
  • Press Enter to send your message

I would like to obtain the xb8 modem. As an employee from the mobile department, and having the gigabyte plan, I would love to benefit from this it has been useless, reaching out to courtesy for this kind of information.

Just upgraded to gigabitx2 with an xb7. Was only getting 800 download and 200 up. Called a tech to come out today 2-13-23 and he said everything was fine just need a new xb8. Went to the store to pick up the xb8 and my speeds are the exact same. This is ridiculous. Now i have to wait until 3 pm 2-14/23 for another tech. Comcast is not recommendable. Scammers.

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or https://comca.st/3EqVMu7

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there

 - As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list

 - An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

Press Enter to send it
