Houston: Have electricity; no internet

Hello,

Where is my internet? I have electricity but no internet.

This same problem happened in May during storm. When I contacted yall you were able to fix it on your side. Essentially my internet was down in May for zero reason. I hope that is whats happening now.

My neighbor has xfinity and he has internet back.

Everyone I know with ATT fiber or starlkink didnt lose internet in May or during this Hurricane.

Given yall have failed to provide a stable network I guess I need to listen to the masses and move to ATT fiber or starlink?

It is crazy how you disabled any means of contacting an actual person.

Awesome customer service!!

I'm glad you have power at your home  and our staying safe.

This link https https://texas.comcast.com/alerts/  that's great information on how Xfinity is working to get everybody back up and running due to the damages that were caused by severe weather by the hurricane. Power outages account for most of the internet service interruptions. You may know your home needs power for the internet to work, but there are many other points in the network that are also power dependent such as our nodes and plants. At this time, approximately 60% of service interruptions have been restored. Our entire Comcast Texas team, comprised of thousands of local employees, is working around the clock and is committed to getting all of the Houston area back online as quickly as possible

This link https://www.xfinity.com/support/statusmap & https://www.xfinity.com/apps  have great information on how you can stay updated on the service interruptions and you'll receive A notification when this service interruption ends, or if the service interruption end time has been revised.

This response tells me nothing new and is not helpful at all.

How come your competitors are able to offer internet with little to zero disruption?  Do they have magic products that somehow run without electricity?  Somehow ATT and Safelink can provide a stable internet connection. Why can't Xfinity?

How come Xfinity's internet has been down since July 8?

How come Xfinity's internet failed in May?

I do apologize for any inconvenience I've responded to you via the private chat too.

All severe weather related issues are different,  what amount of damage that was caused in may may not be the same during this hurricane.

Even though you have power to your home (which most electric companies get residential customer back up right away)  your services are not working due to our node in the areas are without power or are damaged from the severe weather.

The information I provided you above shows you how hard our techs are working to get everyone back up and running

the links I provided to you we'll let you know if there's a date and time on when the services it will be back up and running if there is no date and time,  that's due to the extent of the damages, so that will always list “as soon as possible”

I have a similar situation.  Have had power for days and internet tv for a while after power restored. Been without internet for over 24 hours now but my power is fine.  Extremely frustrating. A friend has switched to AT&T and it’s working great with no outages. I’m researching about switching now.  We work from home and absolutely require internet. It’s ridiculous to have power but no internet. Long time customer might be gone soon. Pretty sad.

It’s utterly ridiculous! And of course they don’t have live agents. They expect the bill to be paid and on time but we’re still having to wait for days. This is worse than the power issue. It’s been 9- days now!
