Horrible support
Where do I begin? I had xfinity internet/tv service before buying a house with my husband. He had direct TV. We chose xfinity to bundle with the mobile service. I went to transfer but they wanted to increase my internet service so I canceled and had my husband start new service for the new customer deal. We then transferred existing phones from Verizon to Xfinity. How ever they lost two of our phone numbers during the port.. funny the only 2 lines that we kept our devices and didn’t get new ones.. that mess took 3 days until management said sorry nothing we can do but give you a new number… 2 years later, time for a new phone for my daughter. she got the Samsung flip but 2 days later took it back because it was difficult compared to her apple. They returned the phone but for 4 months kept charging the device fee on our account. Finally after getting shifty I got an advanced service manager who fixed the issue with who processed the return.. After all the issues w/xfinity, yup, I still upgraded my phone but online and activated the phone myself at home..No issues. Then two years ago my daughter now 19 wanted a New iPhone but wanted to make payments. So again we upgraded online got the phone and no issues till the other day. We went to save on our bundle TV/cable/ internet charges and of course xfinity would not drop TV/Voice to just internet w/o charging us more, nor let us get new pricing. So we went looking else where and found a far better internet phone deal W/o contracts or price gouging for long term customers.. So we canceled cable/internet and went to port out our phones. I did a final device payment to Xfinity to pay off my line and my daughter’s phone. Same day I Ported my number out to check out service and see what [Edited - Profanity] xfinity would pull… nothing happened all was smooth. But I still waited 2 weeks to port the rest of the lines. Husbands line went fine, mom and dads phones were old so I had to order new sim cards and my daughter line was locked. I Spent about an hour on the phone w/xfinity tech saying it’s not locked until advanced tech took over and said device is locked and then released it. Then 2 days later, I got the SIM cards from the new carrier and moms port went smooth (phone not purchased through Xfinity) but dads phone (my old iPhone 12 upgraded through Xfinity) says SIM LOCKED. I call and again hours w/tech saying it’s not locked then says wait 15-20min and it should be good. It wasn’t. I Call back, and that tech says it’s not locked and it’s because I need to re-request the port and activate it with the new carrier. I said I cant the phone won’t take the new sim. He said to put the sim in one of the other phones and he’ll place a service ticket on the locked phone but it will take 24hrs after port for it to clear out. Nope got an email from Xfinity support 3 hours later saying they can not complete the request because I no longer have service with them… I can’t reiterate just how frustrating and disappointing this company and it employees are. If it was one time, one person or one thing ok… but not every time we have to interact with them.. I am so excited to never ever do business with XFINITY again. However, I still need them to unlock my daughter’s phone!!
