Horrible customer service experience from Xfinity

I had one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had with Xfinity.
It started when one of your representatives offered me a "completely free" Apple Watch as a reward for being a loyal customer. Before accepting, I repeatedly asked whether there would be any monthly charges, service fees, or hidden costs. I was explicitly assured multiple times that it was 100% free.
A few weeks later, I noticed a $10 monthly charge on my account.
I called customer service and was told that the charge was a mistake because the Apple Watch was supposed to be free. The representative removed the charge, assured me it would not happen again, and told me there would be no future charges.
A week or two later, another $10 charge appeared.
This time I was given a completely different explanation—that the watch was free, but the service for the watch costs $10/month. This made no sense because I never even opened, activated, or used the Apple Watch. More importantly, I specifically asked before accepting the offer whether there would be any monthly charges whatsoever, and I was clearly told there would not.
At that point I decided I didn't want the watch anymore and asked to return it. I was sent a FedEx return label along with an email stating I had 20 days to return the device. However, when I went to FedEx, I discovered the label itself had expired after only five days and could no longer be printed.
I called again to request a new label, and from that point the experience became even worse.
One representative insisted Xfinity doesn't even use FedEx and only works with UPS—even though I had a FedEx return email from Xfinity sitting in my inbox. The same representative then told me I didn't need any return label at all and could simply walk into any UPS Store, hand them my Apple Watch, and they would somehow know where to send it. That is one of the most unbelievable pieces of advice I have ever received from customer service.
When I questioned that, I was transferred to another representative who then claimed I could not get another label because I was supposed to return the watch within 14 days, even though the email from Xfinity clearly states 20 days.
After yet another transfer, a third representative apologized, admitted the situation needed to be escalated, created a case, and promised to send me a new FedEx return label within 3–5 days.
Throughout this entire process, every representative told me something different:
 • The watch is completely free.
 • The watch is free, but the service costs $10/month.
 • The $10 charge is a mistake.
 • The charge is legitimate.
 • Returns use FedEx.
 • Xfinity doesn't use FedEx at all.
 • No return label is needed.
 • A return label is required.
 • I have 20 days to return it.
 • I only have 14 days.
No customer should have to spend hours on the phone just trying to understand what they're being charged for or how to return a product they never wanted to pay for in the first place.
This entire experience has been frustrating, misleading, time-consuming, and completely unacceptable. What should have been a simple promotional offer turned into multiple billing issues, contradictory information from several representatives, repeated phone calls, and an unnecessarily difficult return process.
I sincerely hope Xfinity reviews the recordings of these calls because the misinformation provided by your representatives is astonishing. This experience has significantly damaged my trust in Xfinity.

here are the two case numbers related to this issue:

[Edited - Customer Information]– This was the first case created to investigate why I was sold the Apple Watch after being explicitly told it was a promotional gift that was completely free, with no monthly or hidden charges. It has been over two weeks since this case was opened, and I have not received any update or resolution.

[Edited - Customer Information]– This is the second case, created to resolve the return label issue after I was given conflicting information by multiple representatives about how and when to return the watch.

Unfortunately, since I've received no update on the first case after more than two weeks, I'm not very confident that this second case will be handled any differently. I sincerely hope I'm proven wrong.

Update:

Unfortunately, the experience continues to get worse.

After being asked to contact Xfinity Support via Direct Message on this forum, I spent nearly two hours going back and forth with them, only to be told in the end that they couldn't help because my issue belongs to Xfinity Mobile. If that was the case, I wish they had told me that at the beginning instead of after hours of messaging.

To make matters even more confusing, I provided them with the two case numbers I was given over the phone. They told me that case [Personal Information] was actually created months ago and had already been closed. That directly contradicts what the phone representative told me on July 21, when I was given that exact case number and was told it had just been created to investigate why I was sold the Apple Watch as a "completely free" promotional gift with no monthly charges.

At this point, I honestly don't know which information is correct. Every interaction seems to produce a different answer, different policies, different timelines, and now even different histories for the same case number. As a customer, it's impossible to know what to believe.

I'm posting these updates so other customers are aware of the level of inconsistency I've experienced. What should have been a simple issue has turned into weeks of conflicting information, multiple case numbers, repeated transfers, and countless hours spent trying to get a straightforward resolution.
