Home Remodel

We will be remodeling our home soon and be living in our driveway in a travel trailer while the remodel is happening. Is there a way to have a wifi modem out in the trailer?

Steven_S60 That is a fantastic question and thank you for reaching out via our Xfinity Community Forums for answers! We can definitely help you get reliable Wi-Fi to your travel trailer during your remodel, as your service address isn't changing. The easiest and often most cost-effective solutions involve extending the signal from your current Xfinity service:
  1. Use a Mesh Wi-Fi System (Recommended): Placing a mesh Wi-Fi Pod (like an xFi Pod) inside your home near the trailer, and another inside the trailer, creates a strong, seamless network extension.

  2. Hardwired Connection: For the most reliable speed, you could run a temporary outdoor-rated Ethernet cable from your modem/router to the trailer.

  3. New Cable Drop: If the distance is too great, a technician may be able to install a new, temporary cable connection point closer to the trailer (installation fees may apply).

I would be happy to look into this a bet more to determin the best option for you. To get get started, please send a direct message with your full name and address.
