Home marked as Business

I am having an issue where my former employer insisted some years ago that they install and pay for a Business Internet line at my residence. I am no longer with this employer and I am trying to start residential service but my home address is being marked as a business and the systems will not allow me to continue. I have not found any real solutions from live chat or otherwise. As it is, it also appears my former employer is past due on their invoices as well. The suggestion from an agent that I contact them is not a solution either. How can I get this resolved and actually get my home marked as residential?

Thanks for reaching out to us go ahead and send us a direct message including your first and last name and your complete service address as we will need to put in a ticket to have your location change from a business location to a residential location

 

Here's the detailed steps to direct message us: 

  • Click "Sign In" if necessary
  • Click the "Direct Message” icon (upper right corner of this page)
  • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
  • Type "Xfinity Support" in the to line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list
  • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
  • Press Enter to send your message
