Help with landline

Hi Xfinity

I am interested in setting up a landline. But I would like to know if I need to activate anything using xfinity in order to get it working.

I plugged in a phone I had lying around to the TEL 1 port to test and it powered on but I didn’t get a dial tone.

I am not sure if this phone is just not compatible or as stated in the previous paragraph I am not sure if I need to activate anything on your end.

Hi Christy,

Thats the main thing i’m trying to figure out. If I dont have it would it be extra costs?

I get xfinity through my HOA, and they pay everything on my behalf.

is there anyway to check this I have the app

Even in situations where an HOA covers the base service, you would still typically see charges for local taxes and related fees.
