Help Help Help. NOW internet. What a Nightmare trying to switch to NOW Internet

I am trying to downgrade my service from Performance pro to NOW Prepaid internet and I am told I need to cancel My service first. I went to the Store in Manhawkin NJ and was told the store doesnt do it. I have spent countless hours on the phone with 5 different customer service reps and No one can tell me how to do it without a Gap in service I am in a rural area and without internet I have no phone service.    Can I walk into a store and cancel my service and Sign up for NOW and walk out with the gateway?   Please help

I am very sorry for any confusion! NOW Internet has just launched and unfortunately, is not available everywhere. 

ELIGIBILITY FAQS

Am I eligible for NOW Internet?
To see if you’re eligible for NOW Internet, first check to see if your address is serviceable by visiting the NOW Portal.

For more details on navigating your NOW Portal, see NOW Portal overview.

 

Also, please note NOW Internet is not available for customers who:

  • Subscribe to other Xfinity services (except Xfinity Mobile).
    • If you want to downgrade from Xfinity Internet to NOW Internet, you’ll need to remove all other Xfinity services (except Xfinity Mobile).
  • Have Bulk Video, Bulk Internet, Managed WiFi or WiFi Ready service.
  • Are located at fiber properties.

 

If you’re eligible, you can sign up for NOW Internet with no credit check, no annual contract and taxes and fees included in the cost of service. You’ll pre-pay for services and your subscription will auto-renew at the end of your prepaid service period. You can cancel at any time by visiting xfinity.com/now.

@XfinityThomasB​   NOW Internet is available in my area    I cannot sign up on line and was told at A store in Manahawkin NJ that it is not done in store. when it clearly says in THE FAQ S it can be done online   I have spent several Hours on the phone with Customer service offshore and even spoke with a US rep and he could not solve my Problem and he told me he had no way to reach out to the store!  I am more than willing to walk into a store cancel my service and then sign up for NOW if it can be done seamlessly as I cannot be without service for any extended period of time.

That would be the best option with visiting a local Xfinity Store. From all documentation we have, they will be able to assist with setting up the Now Internet plan for you right after the current internet service has been disconnected. If you are leasing a modem, please remember to bring that with you for return so there is no delay.

Representative at the Xfinity store told me that I have to cancel my current Xfinity internet, wait 30 days then sign up for Now internet.  In other words, I would be without internet for 30 days!  Makes not sense what so ever

Go into the store and tell them you want the 30$ a month internet.  They have a promotion that is good for 12 months.  When you use auto pay.  Don’t let them bill

steve9171, We are happy to hear that you were able to get help with setting up the Now internet services at the store. Do you have any additional questions or concerns for us? We appreciate you greatly for your business as an internet service subscriber! When you went to the store, did they go over our Now Mobile service which you are now eligible for? May I also aks who is your current cell service provider, and how much your bill is? We could save you even more with Xfinity Now Mobile by considering a whole home solution.
