Help activating Peacock account

I cannot activate my Peacock account via xfinity

@user_t0vub5 Hey! Thanks for posting in Forums, What happens when you try to activate peacock? Are you getting an error message and how are you trying to activate it?

I used the Peacock account I have used for years  and can sign in to.

user_t0vub5 Just to clarify, you have a Peacock account currently active through Peacock. Is that correct? Now you need to make an account through Xfinity right? Also, is this Peacock Premium you're trying to activate?

Correct! But when I try to sign in and activate it, I get an error: Your Xfinity account is already linked to another Peacock account

user_t0vub5 Thank you for clarifying. Do you have a X1 cable box or our Flex streaming box by any chance? This link https://www.peacocktv.com/help/article/xfinity-subscription-can-i-only-watch-on-my-set-top-box says you should be able to link the old one to your account using the X1 box. If not, then you have to cancel the current Peacock account and then use the same login information to make a new account/connect to the offer.
