Hello, my ping in my favorite game has been double for the last month or 2

Hello Xfinity, please help. I cannot find a way to get your AI Assistant to connect me to an agent.

My ping in League of Legends has been double for the last month or so, then what it has usually been for the last couple of years that I've had Xfinity. It's is not just a problem on my end either. My friends who also have Xfinity in the same area as me are experiencing the same issues. One even switched providers and it fixed his problem.

I have reset my gateway, and modem. I am directly connected to the modem. I have not switched anything about my network or anything connected to the network.

Thank you.

What is your general location?
If you're in any area that has to be routed through Atlanta, you've not altered any of your equipment, and you've ran traceroutes to prove it's not your network...
just know that Xfinity will be running you through a loop like the rest of us.
My suggestion would be to call 1-800-XFINITY and schedule them to come out.
If your technician is actually from the US and speaks English you're lucky, so explain to him that when you ping certain IPs (traceroute) you can see it's taking X amount of ms to get past that server.
Hopefully they'll be able to figure out what's wrong and send someone out to fix it.

Also do a general speed test. If you're getting the advertised speed on ethernet then run a traceroute in a free program called PingPlotter.
Very easy to use and understand. There's a chance at hop 1 (router) you'll have high packet loss, but again, so long as you haven't changed anything and your router isn't 80 years old you'll know it's not actually you.
Also check the outage map in your area just in case it's just a local issue.

@user_ibxi1o Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us here on our Xfinity Forums. I can definitely appreciate the frustration and impact to your gaming if you are experiencing a high ping with League of Legends. Are you experiencing high ping at times when you are not gaming? I understand that you have reset the gateway, just to clarify, are you using a stand alone router? If so, have you already attempted to connect direction to the modem itself with a new Ethernet cable to see if it changes anything? @slydemise has also made some helpful troubleshooting suggestions.
