Hazardous Comcast equipment hanging from a telephone pole
I have been trying for an hour now to work through the maze of connections, computerized voices, text messaging, to notify Comcast/xfinity that services their wiring, and equipment, hanging from the pole in front of my home. AND I CANNOT SEEM TO GET THIS SIMPLE TASK DONE, IN A RESPONSIBLE FASHION, IN WHAT SHOULD BE AN APPROPRIATLY BRIEF AMOUNT OF TIME. The equipment is a metal box, 30' above the road and sidewalk, now hanging by a wire, off the pole in front of my home, over passing cars, and pedestrians. This is a result of strong winds caused by a storm that passed through TWO DAYS AGO!!! The location is on a public street, over a public sidewalk, and will not just knock out service once the wire gives way, but could hurt any person that may have the misfortune of being beneath this "box" should it fall the 30' The box is approximately 12" by 6" by 4", and appears to have at least a dozen inner separations (the lid is opened, and banging off the pole, the remainder of the secured box, and the wire holding it up.)

I am done. 6 days after I made this post, being responsible, helpful, two of comcast private contractors, young men with their own utility trucks with a one man bucket booms, came to the pole. They established a traffic pattern so traffic could safely pass their trucks, parked in the northbound traffic lane. The pole is located on a curve, in a dangerous intersection (Ridge Rd and Park Rd in Hamden, along side the woods of East Rock Park.) Both young men got into the buckets of their trucks, raised them up, and worked jointly on the comcast wires going to the pole, and the box. There is no way they did not see the damaged box, and wires. I did approach them and they explained they could not do the work without a work order from Comcast. If they did not get such an order, they would not be paid for their work. They also explained they could not initiate such work as they could financial responsible to Comcast if anything were to go wrong. I understood. They are forced to not take an appropriate action, possible real life consequences, by the lack of common sense of the hundreds of comcast manager, lawyers, administrators, who must control insanity such as this, and get bonuses every year, because Comcast really does not care about people. Just their own function, and roll off the cost of all their mismanagement in the exorbitant fees they charge customers. Like almost every other institution, government agency, conglomerate, in this Nation at this time. The only thing that remains secure is the number they decide on that is going to be their profit margin.
