hacked

internet went out in East Lansing MI on 8/2 or 8/1 was out form 10 pm to 1am then again from 5am till 1pm. After this, I have received MANY emails claiming to be xifinity and that my account isn't paid and I will loose service if my over due balance is not paid. These emails also knew I paid automatic, as they were saying the card on file cou;dn't be ran and needed to be updated. THIS IS NOT TRUE my account doesn't get charged till later in the month and the email address it was sent from was [Edited: "phishing email"] and [Edited: "phishing email"]. Xifinity should send out an email that their pages were hacked.

user_b65xjp Hello and thank you for reaching out via our Xfinity Community Forums. I’m sorry to hear about the issues you’ve been facing. I understand how frustrating it must be to deal with internet interruptions and then receive concerning emails about your account. I’m sorry for any confusion this has caused.

I’d like to help by reviewing your account to ensure everything is in order and to address any concerns you have about these emails. To get started, please send our team a Direct Message with your full name, the name listed on the account (if different), and the service address associated with your account.

In the meantime, please remember that if you receive suspicious emails or messages, it’s best to avoid clicking on any links or providing personal information. It’s possible that these messages are phishing attempts.

To send a "Direct Message" message:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click the "Direct Messaging" icon at the top of the page (looks like a text bubble)

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list that appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

Press Enter to send it
