Got tricked into moving to Yahoo Mail - what a scam!! And no help afterwards...

I received an email earlier this week entitled "Introducing a better Comcast.net email experience with Yahoo Mail" highlighting all the benefits of moving to Yahoo Mail.

However, after I migrated my @comcast.net email account to Yahoo Mail, I find out that auto-forwarding emails is only available via their Yahoo Mail Plus service at $5/month - something that was free with Xfinity.

So I called the dedicated support phone line and was told "such is life"...  we can't help you with that...  and no, you can't migrate back to Xfinity.  When I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was put on hold for 10 minutes...  at which time the representative told me that they're all busy but would call me back later in the day.  And no - I never received a call back.

VERY DISAPPOINTED for being mislead!!  So my advice is:  don't migrate unless you're up for major surprises!

And if anyone at Xfinity is reading this post...  yes, I'd love to migrate back to Xfinity!

user_3bcdx4 Thank you for reaching out! Unfortunately, there is no option to migrate back from Yahoo mail.

Hello user_ct0xk2, Once you upgrade your comcast.net email account to Yahoo Mail and accept the Yahoo terms of service, you will no longer be able to access your comcast.net email through the Xfinity Email platform. However, you will still retain your comcast.net email address. If you wish to stop using Yahoo Mail, you can delete your Yahoo account, but you will not revert to the original Xfinity Email platform. You will need to manage your email through Yahoo Mail instead.

@user_ct0xk2 If I can create a new Xfinity account with my old @comcast.net email address (that I migrated to Yahoo) I'd be happy to delete my yahoo account.  Is that an option?

That is a great question, @user_3bcdx4! While you can create a new Xfinity service account using your old Comcast email address, there are no longer any options for creating a new Comcast email address, unfortunately. Once it has been migrated to Yahoo, it cannot be migrated back.
