Got this text from Xfinity

“Hi  XXXXXX, it's Xfinity Assistant.

We've identified an issue with your internet equipment at XXXXXXXXXXXXXX that is affecting your Xfinity services. You may be experiencing slower speeds or connection interruptions and your Xfinity Gateway will need to be replaced.

Would you like us to ship you a new gateway at no additional cost?

1 - Ship me a new Xfinity Gateway

2 - No, I'm not interested

Txt help or stop

How can I verify this is legit?  Thanks

Good evening user_x3xs89 👋 I appreciate you popping into the community with your question, and we're here for you! Just going by the wording of the message, it definitely sounds legit and is a text we do send customers. Usually those texts are prompted when our system recognizes that you're using an older modem that has a newer model to upgrade to, or if internal issues are detected within the modem itself. Have you been experiencing issues with your internet lately at all?
