Getting return request emails from Complete Recovery Corporation.

I received an email from compete recovery corporation saying that they are partnered with Xfinity and that I need to return an equipment. But, this was not mentioned when I cancelled my service. Is this email scam or legit?

Good morning @user_b36a90, and thanks for posting here today with your question. If you have any equipment (cable box or gateway) that we provided, you will need to return it to avoid being charged. If you have a nearby XFINITY store, you can drop it off there. You can also return it to a UPS store, you'll just need to box it up beforehand. Let us know if you have any questions.

@XfinityRaf​ I tried to check https://customer.xfinity.com/devices/returns/new but there's no device listed. Is there any other ways to get a UPS label? I live a bit far from the stores.

Thanks for giving that a try. If you could send our team a direct message with your full name and full address, I can ship out a return kit to you.

Why will no one from xfinity FREAKING confirm if Complete Recovery Corporation they work with is legitimate?? They refuse to let their own customers know if they are being scammed or not by outside forces. ANSWER THE QUESTION

Hello @user_3k0fwc, We partner with an outside company to encourage customers to return unreturned equipment from those who are disconnected, are pending disconnection, or have active accounts with disabled equipment. These contractors may call them to return our equipment to an Xfinity Retail Store or UPS drop-off location. Due to how scammers copy things it is always best to confirm with us when you receive an email or call that is questionable.

I have a follow-up question for the Xfinity employees:

Why does your system not log that a customer already has returned the equipment, which then requires the customer to respond to your third party company (Complete Recovery Corporation) in order to confirm this?

Thankfully I scanned a copy of the receipt and also took photos of all equipment before we returned it.  This is another example of poor customer service (and insufficient procedures and/or systems), which I hope that you will rectify.  After being Xfinity customers for 10+ years, our family likely will not return unless and until significant improvements occur (including pricing).
