Getting only 5% of the advertised speed

I signed up for 900 mb plan but through speed testing on Comcast speed test and speedtest.net, I'm only getting 50 to 60 mb on download. That's less than 10% of advertised speed! I'm using TP Deco AX3600 with Arris S33 modem. I tested both on my phone and laptop, but getting similar speedtest results.

Please help!

Hi @user_bf0dcd! Thank you for joining us on the Xfinity Forums for help with this speed issue. I know from experience how upsetting slow speeds can be, so I'd be happy to help with this! It's good to know you checked the speed on multiple devices. Did you also try a reset of the modem to see if this helps it sync up to the right speed?

@XfinityCassandra - I restarted both modem and router and speed did not change. I'm still getting between 50 and 60mb.

Thanks for doing what you can from home. Do you have a similar experience while connected hardwired to your laptop with the power removed from your router? Routers can cause congestion in your network that can lead to speed issues, even while connected via hardwire.

I no longer work for Comcast.

@XfinityJay No improvement when connecting directly to modem.

Thanks for checking that, @user_bf0dcd! How many other devices are online in addition to your phone and laptop?

I no longer work for Comcast.

3 additional. Total 5 devices. Out of the 5, GHub and Amazon aren't even being used.
