We do have a program for equipment upgrade, and depending on your communication preference is sent out either text or email: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/xfi-complete-tech-upgrade
I use text notifications myself, and all my Xfinity notifications come from 266278, is the number associated with the text communication you received?
