Future Cable Installation
I live in [Edited: "Personal Information"] & I've been told there's going to be new Comcast cable installation done on the road I live on. The markings for the cable have already been painted on the road and right aways of the road. As a resident is this going to disrupt service because I am a remote worker? Also what about the apron to our driveway, if it gets damaged is Comcast going to repair it free of charge?

Good morning user_yrnelf. Thank you for reaching out to us on our Xfinity Forums for help with the upcoming cable installation in your area. I greatly appreciate your concerns, I have had them myself in the past when upgrades were being made near my home. For new service coming to an area I would expect that your services would not be interrupted if creating a new connection for neighbors. However, if they are tieing into the existing line there may be a planned maintenance scheduled. This would create an alert to notify you of the upcoming expected service interruption. The teams would have everything possible completed before that cut over to ensure the interruption is as limited as possible. The work could also be completed during non-peak times to help limit interruption even more.
Being a homeowner I see your concerns for your property as well. When the work is completed we expect everything to be returned to its original state. When that is not possible, the apron would be repaired or replaced. Typically, our teams would create additional requests if added work is needed to make additional repairs. There are times that does not happen, so please know you can always reach out to us here if something is not back to its original condition after we perform work in your area. We can open a claim request to have the property repaired.
