Friend's Comcast.net account hacked

My friend in another state has had his Comcast account hacked. Many of us (his friends) are getting phish spam mails asking for help buying gift cards, and at least one message was read and responded to by the hacker. I do not know if he has VOIP and cell service also on Xfinity, but his phone number I have does not connect, so we have no way to contact him. Anything we can do, even though we are in another state?
