"Free" xFi Pod

I just received a "free" xFi pod as part of the Xfi Complete package. The thought just occurred to me and I have to ask because of Xfinity's typically less-than-transparent dealings with customers: Since this is part of the Xfi package, if in the future I ever decide to cancel the package or leave comcast/Xfinity, will I then be charged for the Pod?  I assume there is some minimum time that I would need to have the package or be charged, and that would be fair (assuming the time period is not ridiculous, like years), but if I had the package for a year then moved and had to cancel Xfinity, am I then going to be charged for the pod on my final bill?  Or do I return it like I would the gateway?

I have DM'd but it concerns me that I have to give you account information so you can check.  It clearly means that there is no set policy for the free xFi pod that you advertise with the xFi Complete plan. If xfinity said they were sending out a "free" pod as part of the package, there should be one set policy on the circumstance that the pod would actually not be free and would have to be paid for.

At least you were notified that you needed a pod! I had xfi complete for over a year, never once did xfinity check if I needed a pod. The day after I cancelled complete I get an email stating I needed a xfi pod and can get one free. Followed the link then it tells me I’m not eligible! Xfinity is turning into a joke! I’ve had Comcast/ xfinity for about 25 years. Never a late payment and they now treat you like garbage! Customer service is an even bigger joke!
