Free line balance $50+ ?

I have a free xfinity mobile line, and my payments are usually just for the taxes. It was incremented for ~$10 because I don’t have xfinity internet service anymore.

However now, I see I’m being charged $40+ for the “free” line? And I don’t see my free line discount.

Hello @user_tdbu4n did you recently disconnect your Xfinity internet account? This may be why you are now being charged for your mobile services. Depending on your agreement the free line discount may have been removed when you canceled your internet services. Also, there is a $25 line fee for each line on the Xfinity mobile account if you no longer have internet with us.

Thank you for your fast reply!

yes, I disconnected my internet two days ago, on the same day $10 was added for my current cycle balance ( because I don’t have internet service anymore, which is understandable). However, I still had the free line discount (which should be valid for a year).

When I’m checking now, I see that I’m being charged $40 for the line, and 10 for not having internet.

Thank you for sharing the screenshot of your bill with us @user_tdbu4n. The free unlimited line discount typically requires that you maintain a post-pay Xfinity Internet of at least 300 Mbps or higher. Since you cancelled your internet service, you may not longer be eligible for the free unlimited line. Please let us know if you have any other questions or concerns we can help with.

Shouldn’t I been notified of both charges before they’re added to my mid cycle balance?

That is a fair question, @user_tdbu4n. If this was a charge for Xfinity Internet or other residential services, it would have been billed in advance, so any changes would be added or deducted from the following bill. With Xfinity Mobile, charges are billed at the end of the billing cycle, so I can see something like this being added mid-cycle.

If you could send our team a direct message with your full name, the name listed on the account (if different), and the service address associated with your account, I'd be more than happy to look into this for you.

To send a Direct Message, please click on the “Direct Message” icon in the top-right corner of the screen, next to the bell icon, click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon, then type or select "Xfinity Support". Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window and press Enter to send your message and initiate a live session.
