Fox Sports BTN issues

I’ve seen this mentioned several times on here but when I link my TV Provider (Xfinity) to my Fox Sports app on my Roku, and try to watch Big Ten Network it tells me the channel isn’t included in my tv package (it is). I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app, tried on my phone, laptop and tv. Nothing works.

I contacted support last month and spoke with someone who was going to look into it but nothing has changed nor have I heard back.

It seems a lot of others are also having this problem. Has anyone gotten a resolution? I want to be able to watch Big Ten Network when traveling.

@user_616dc2 Hello! Thank you for reaching out to us here on our Community Forums page. We are sorry to hear that you're having some issues accessing the Big Ten Network. Have you tried using the Xfinity Stream App while using the Roku and then going to the Big Ten Network channel from there?

@XfinityBenjaminM Since I am traveling and trying to get watch away from home, I am not connected to Xfinity Wifi and cannot get the xfinity stream app to work away from home.

Ok! There are certainly some channels that you are only able to access while you are connected to your in-home WiFi so that sounds like what the issue primarily is (at least right now). When you get back home and are still having trouble viewing this channel or any other content, by all means, please let us know so that we can investigate. We wish you save travels and if you need us to look into this again, we're here and ready to help in any way we can.

@XfinityBenjaminM I never had issues before with the Fox Sports app streaming Big Ten Network before. It shouldn’t be an issue because it doesn’t matter where I am, I should still have access to my channels through other apps when logging in with my tv provider login. I travel often and have never had issues until the past few months.

I am having the same problem. Something is disconnected between fox sports app, big ten network (aka fox owned big ten network) and Xfinity. Even when signed in as Xfinity customer, big ten network thru fox sports app does not recognize that user is signed in. Asks to be signed in again, going thru all same steps, then gives an error saying we don’t have TV rights. All other streams work

What gives ?

I apologize there was no response, are you able to try the steps again, our team is here to assist.

Can you please send our team a direct message [private message]:

   Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "Direct Message" icon or https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging
Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there.
   - As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
   - An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
   Press Enter to send it

The concern is not "accessibility / disability" help related................................. Thread moved here to the proper help section, and for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Ensure you are first signed in, then you will see an icon at the top right of your page.
From there, click the 'New Message' icon. In the 'To' field, type 'Xfinity Support'.

It has been a week. Nothing is fixed. No response from what you requested I do. (The direct message). Is this something you recommended to get me off the forum? This is a problem that has zero solution from Xfinity. And it’s an Xfinity issue according to the messages I keep getting.

Hello @CurmudgeonSupre. It doesn't look like we received a Direct Message from you a week ago. I can definitely understand the frustration of not receiving a message back. I know there are some games that are not available in every area. Are you able to watch any other games on the app?

Has anyone received resolution for this issue? It's a major problem.

@user_3291b5 No. I’ve tried everything they told me to do. In order to watch games I have to uninstall and reinstall the fox sports app so I can get the free preview hour of watching. When my hour is up I repeat the process for another hour. Pretty ridiculous seeing as Big Ten is part of my tv package I pay for.

Is there a reason for using the Fox Sports app instead of the Xfinity Stream app? Big Ten is part of the networks that is available when you are away from your home network. In the Xfinity Stream app it can be marked as one of your Favorites, so you wouldn't have to search for the channel.
