Forward to Comcast please

I'm trying to figure out why I'm being charged for the landline phone .... I just I hooked it up this year but I've had it and been paying for it for probably 20+ years and not using it.  So then  I just plugged into the wall one day because I needed it because i was going to be without my cellular phone that week....... and now I upon REALLY looking at my bill and plan....I see them being charged $40 a month for the phone. It should absolutely not be responsible for an  extra charge. Many many years ago I got a bundle with internet/ landline/ phone and TV cable...  even though I didn't need a landline at all and I never used it for many many years till this past christmas. (and the internet was 200 gigs not 100 !) I was paying for the phone but never using it because it was in my bundle for all these years. So  now all of a sudden it says $40 each month for the phone.  so I'm not happy.  So just because I plugged it in doesn't mean that I should be charged for it now it's part of my bundle already.   I'm sure there's been a mistake I'm just happened to be dissecting it tonight and I wish you would take 40  off my bill every month because the three are supposed to be included. having  been a customer of yours since 1999... and haven't bailed out on you guys despite everybody watching everything online streaming nowadays. I'm thinking there was a few months back maybe maybe 4 6 months ago or something the technicians made a change for me and they ended up making a huge mistake and it wiped out my whole DVR library and everything changed a lot of my channels around I lost all my movie channels but you're supposed to be the free movie channels that are unedited I was supposed to have this included in my bundle and all the sudden they all disappeared and they couldn't replace anything for me except for a couple pieces of my DVR Library so I'm thinking that maybe that's when this additional error happened but I'm just noticing it now in the bill ........so I'd be grateful if you would correct these things please .....the internet speed is half what it was as well since the technician had that mess-up... please and thank you. First off @user_lc5f88, thank you so much for sticking with us since 1999! We truly appreciate your loyalty over the last two decades, especially with so many streaming options out there today.
It sounds like you originally had a legacy bundle package, and over time, those old promotional discounts rolled off. When those older bundles expire or are updated, the services separate into individual line items on the bill, which would explain why the phone is showing up as a standalone $40 charge. We want to make sure your bill is accurate and that you are only paying for what you actually want and need. We will be more than happy to review your account and find a package that better fits your needs and budget.

If you could send our team a direct message with your full name, the name listed on the account (if different), and the service address associated with your account.

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there.

As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.

A "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

Press Enter to send it.
