First gen Xfinity pods
I was using first gen Xfinity pods with an Xfinity router. I moved and recently got a new Xfi router for my connection. The connectivity is really good but the coverage for Wi-Fi is not so good. I tried connecting my Xfinity pods to the system and only one of them connected and the second one seems to be totally bricked now. For devices that connect to the Xfi pod, internet is possible but extremely slow and spotty. I am a very technical guy and have provided senior level technical support for internet and routers for some time, including for the last few years. I can't seem to find a path to reach Xfinity support directly to see if I can possible exchange my Xfinity pods (which I purchased from Xfinity) for possible newer gen pods that will work.

I have the same issue, and my wifi is continually dropping off from the pods. The wifi near the router is fine, but either room at the back of the house is terrible. The house is under 1000sqft so I didn't think I'd even need pods. My wifi won't even reach my Orbi outdoor anymore.

Hello user_uj551v thanks so much for taking the time to reach out here via our Xfinity Forums, and your knowledge and experience are greatly appreciated here! There is no way to upgrade from Gen 1 to Gen 2 devices, however, if the purchased Gen 1 Pods are within their 1-year warranty period, we're happy to work with you on getting those examined, and we do have our Exchange policy as outlined on our site below.
How to return or exchange Xfinity WiFi Extenders or Pro WiFi Extenders
