Final bill is in collections

I’m reaching out because I just realized my past due bill is in collections. Xfinity is still giving me the option to pay it directly on their website, however I just want to make sure that once it’s paid in full is deleted off my credit report. Or do I contact the agency directly and do a pay to delete?

Thank you for reaching out to our team. If that final bill is paid through us, it would be reported to the collections' agency as paid in full, you would not need to reach out to them. It takes about five business days for the agency to receive the update. The credit report updates as Paid in Full within 90 days. The account remains on the credit report as Satisfied Charge Off

@XfinityJohnG If this account is paid in full, will the account be deleted off my credit report?

That is a great question, @user_b3g9gq! The account would not be deleted off the credit report, it would be reported as a Satisfied Charge Off account.
