file complaint
I need to file a formal complaint. I have lived in my home for 10 years and carried over xfinity internet from my previous home with very few issues until the last 2 years. Before the last 2 years, the only time my internet would go out would be if there was a storm that knocked down power lines or if there was flooding. Over the last 2 years, my internet is out at least 2-3 times per week. As a matter of fact, it is out now and not due to be back for several hours according to the xfinity app. The last time I reached out to customer service, they tried to make it seem like an issue on my end and said they would send a tech at no cost. The tech came and found no issue and said they are splitting nodes in my area and that's likely the cause for outages. Good to know, but then my next bill, I was charged $100 for that visit and it took 3 tickets and a visit to the xfinity retail store to get credit. While that was resolved, it adds to an immense amount of frustration to have inconsistent and unreliable service especially since I conduct business from my home office. Why is the internet in my area out so often? When will consistent service and reliability return? Being a 20+ year customer doesn't matter anymore according to my latest encounters with Xfinity. Interestingly, the xfinity tech and the xfinity retail manager have been the most honest about why am experiencing service interruptions in my area. I have reached a point where I can no longer rely on this service. I know it's not just me because I also check with my neighbors and when I'm down, they are too.

My internet came back up at 13:49 after being down since 09:12. It is now down again at 15:06 with the app notifying of another outage? It is now supposed to be back up at 17:05. Again, this happens every week!
