"Faster upload speeds..." email

I received the notification about getting 5x-10x faster upload speed so I scheduled the technician to come out. When they came out they did some work outside and then told me I was good and left. Previously my upload speeds were ~50 Mbps and now they are at 75 Mbps. There was an increase but hardly 5x-10x. Also, when running the Xfinity app bandwidth test I was previously averaging 2 Gbps but now I am averaging well below that. I've rebooted the modem multiple times including unplugging it and letting it sit for a bit before powering back on.

Is there something I am missing to get the benefits and fix the download speeds?

Please send us a direct chat message with your full name and complete service address to “Xfinity Support”. To do so, click on the chat icon located at the top right of this forums page.

Here's the detailed steps to direct message us:

  • Click "Sign In" if necessary
  • Click the "Direct Message” icon (upper right corner of this page)
  • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
  • Type "Xfinity Support" in the to line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list
  • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
  • Press Enter to send your message
