fake cancelation request?

I got an email last night from xfinity@account.xfinity.com stating that "We received your cancelation request". I manage this account for my mom. It had my mom's address in the email. How do I confirm that this is a real email, and how do I stop it if so?

Last day of service:

2025-05-16T00:00:00.0000000Z

Services being disconnected: XFINITY TV, Internet, and Voice 

and then it had my mom's correct address in the Service Address box.
