Extra internet charge without consent

I was charged for regular Xfinity internet for months when what I signed up for was an Xfinity essential. I called multiple times to get my money back for these months I was charged but I was told they can’t refund the money so I cut my account after years of being an Xfinity essential customer. On top of that, I got my account reversed to regular account from essentials without my knowledge or consent or understanding. That is Annabelle to charge the card automatically every month since June of 2024. Before calling my bank to dispute, I am attempting one last time via this email for solutions of a refund to all the extra charges for these few months of service I didn’t ask or signed up for.

Internet Essentials is not a traditional Xfinity service. Internet Essentials is an application based program that has very specific criteria to maintain within the program. You are typically eligible for Internet Essentials as long as you use public assistance programs such as the National School Lunch Program, Housing Assistance, Medicaid, SNAP, SSI and others.

You could be removed from the Internet Essentials program if you no longer meet the eligibility requirements, such as if your income exceeds the program's threshold, you have outstanding debt with the provider, you have not used the service for an extended period, or if you are found to have provided false information during the application process.

Key reasons for removal from Internet Essentials:
  • Income change:
If your income increases above the program's qualifying level, you may no longer be eligible.

  • Non-payment:
Failing to pay your Internet Essentials bill consistently could result in service termination.

  • Fraudulent application:
If you provided inaccurate information to qualify for the program, your eligibility may be revoked.

  • Moving outside service area:
If you move to a location where the provider does not offer Internet Essentials service, you will be removed.

  • Multiple accounts:
Having multiple Internet Essentials accounts in the same household may be considered fraudulent and lead to removal.
