Exterior Property Damage

Hello, an Xfinity cable that was connected to my house snapped/broke from the telephone pole across the street. The tension from the snapping wire separated a section of my eaves and fascia, the west wall of my home also sustained damaged as it ripped all the existing xfinity wiring off of my home. The broken wire also scratched all along the side of my car. It was a giant mess. Im looking for advice on how to file a claim for property damage through Xfinity. Thank you.

Hi there @Petra.pdx91, I hope the day has been treating you well. Thanks for being a part of our Xfinity Community Forum. Sorry to hear about everything going on with the line snapping, sounds like a lot to deal with. I'm glad that no one was hurt. Are you also experiencing service issues from the line that has snapped or just the damage?

Yes our internet was down for a day, but a technician came out and installed a new wire from the power pole to our house. We now have internet again, but I need to file a claim for the damage to my property.. do you know who I can reach out to for that? The technician took photos and I have photos as well.

Petra.pdx91 I am glad to hear your services are back up and going, and of course, we can assist with a damage claim for you. If you could send our team a direct message with your full name, the name listed on the account (if different), and the service address associated with your account, I'd be more than happy to help get the claim process started for you. To send a Direct Message, please click on the chat icon in the top-right corner of the screen, next to the bell icon, and then type or select "Xfinity Support" to initiate a direct message.
