Existing Xfinity equipment in wall niche after cancellation — do I need to return it?
Hello! I recently canceled my Xfinity Internet service, effective on September 24, 2025. In my apartment, there’s Xfinity equipment installed in a dedicated wall niche (mounted to the wall, with an Xfinity promo poster). This device was already there when I moved in—I did not receive or activate it myself.
I want to confirm the proper next step:
Is this device associated with my account? If yes, please add it to my return list and advise the recommended return method (UPS drop-off vs. Xfinity Store). I can provide the model, S/N, and CM MAC plus photos via DM.
If it’s not on my account (e.g., property bulk equipment or left by a previous resident), should I leave it in place or bring it to a store so it can be disassociated from the last account?
Will I incur any non-return fees if I leave this equipment in the niche?
