Existing Customer Requesting EPON/FTTH Serviceability Review

Hi,

I’m an existing Xfinity internet customer currently connected by coax.

Fiber was recently installed along the public right-of-way directly outside my gated neighborhood, and I’m interested in finding out whether Xfinity fiber-to-the-home service may now be available, or could potentially be extended to my house.

My neighborhood was built in 2020 and has underground utilities, so I’m hoping there may already be infrastructure that could support a fiber connection. I also know of a nearby Xfinity-served neighborhood where homes were recently upgraded to fiber-to-the-home, which made me curious whether similar upgrades may be happening in my area.

Would someone be able to check my address and let me know whether FTTH is available, planned, or if a serviceability/construction review can be opened to determine whether it’s possible?

I’d be happy to provide my address and account information privately if needed.

Thanks!

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

user_671p3j, thank you for reaching out. I can certainly do my best to check the area, but we may not be able to find details about ongoing construction depending on the project and where they are in the process. We also don't extend fiber to a single location unless you were looking into options like Gigabit X10. That said, we'll always reach out to customers directly once we do upgrade the local node and infrastructure. I'll check your location, and we can discuss any details we find.

I ask that you reach out privately, so we can cover the details of your account. You can start by clicking the chat icon located in the top right corner of your forums page when signed in. Once there, you can direct your messages to "Xfinity Support." Please add your full name and service address to help us locate your account. Let me know if you have any questions.
