Existing Customer Deals

Hello, I've been a Comcast customer for many years and the contract just ended on my account. Now my bill is doubled. I am not paying double what I was just paying, are there any existing customer deals that help fix this? Last year I was able to call and they redid the contract which gave me the discounted price, this time I called and they basically told me I can't resign the contract? Why not?
