Escalation denied after agent misstated available plan
I'm a Diamond member since 2012 with internet-only service. My current 600 Mbps plan costs $104/month, and I use my own modem.
In chat today, I asked retention for a lower clean rate. The agent said the only options were 300 Mbps for $70/month for 12 months or 1 Gig for $85/month for 5 years, and said a supervisor had access to the same plans. The agent did not answer my questions about taxes and fees, post-term pricing, or cancellation terms. The attempted supervisor transfer also triggered a phone call after I had requested written chat only.
Authenticated self-service then showed 1.2 Gig for $85/month for 5 years, with no annual contract, unlimited data, and WiFi equipment included. That directly contradicts the agent's claim that the 1 Gig offer was the best available. My escalation ticket ECM0025246846 was reviewed, denied, and closed at 4:34 PM without an explanation.
I'm asking Xfinity support to review this for either a recurring loyalty credit on my current 600 Mbps plan or a lower internet-only rate without mobile service or other add-ons. Please provide the full terms in writing: recurring price, speed, taxes and fees, price term, post-term price, contract or cancellation terms, data allowance, equipment, autopay requirements, and any add-ons.
