Error RDK-03030

Three days ago we started experiencing the RDK-03033 error.  It seems to happen in the evening, but our normal TV viewing hours are 4pm-9pm.  The only way out is to reset the Hi-def TV box since when it happens, the TV box does not respond to any commands from the remote.  Did a bad firmware update happen, or some other system change?  This is very annoying, as stated by Capt. Obvious.
