Error during equipment upgrade process (online)

I got an email from xfinity saying "Equipment upgrade needed" and "Upgrade your Gateway" with a button in the email to do the upgrade. I don't trust emails so I logged into xfinity and found that it was a real upgrade but when I try to do it I get an error "Looks like something went wrong. Please reload the page and try again". Trying again doesn't work.  I've tried multiple times over several days.

I tried calling for support but ended up in a dead end in the voicemail with no prompts so I'm putting this here. How do I get this resolved?

Good afternoon sports_guy. We certainly appreciate you attempting to process the upgrade through the website. If you do have a local Xfinity store nearby you can upgrade your gateway at the local store as the old one would need to be returned, and that way you would not need to wait for shipping time. However, if you would prefer to have one sent out we can assist you with that. Let me know which you would prefer?
