equipment upgrade

I received an email from Xfinity suggesting an equipment upgrade but it does not say which model I would be getting?  How can i find out?

I did get this information from their chatbot:

The replacement Wi-Fi gateway, specifically the Xfinity Advanced Gateway (XB7 and higher), does have four Ethernet ports. However, the Xfinity Advanced Gateway (MXB1) has only two Ethernet ports. Older models like the Xfinity Wireless Gateway (XB2) also feature four Ethernet ports.

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Good morning @modelskimz, and thanks @EG for moving this post over. Depending on what your level of service is, you would more than likely receive an XB8 gateway. You can find more information about the XB8 here. Let us know if you have any further questions.

Thanks very much for the additional information, that I would be getting the XBB model "Depending on what your level of service is".

Might you be able to expand on that comment?  And would I qualify?  I  have been a happy Xfinity customer for many years.

Your level of service being how fast your internet is. If you are on a faster speed tier, the XB7 or XB8 are the usual gateways used. If you are currently using one of our gateways, you can switch it out at a local XFINITY store, or we can have one shipped out to you for a one time cost.

Is there a way for me to determine what "speed tier" I am currently on?

Is there a command or app that I can run?  Or look at some kind of identifier on the internet router at my home?

Thanks much for clarifying.

Going forward, please refrain from posting your name when replying. We want to make sure your personal information is protected. If you open up your XFINITY app and click the Services tab along the bottom, that will show you your internet service and what your download speed is. Let us know if you have issues locating it.
