Equipment upgrade

I got the email that I was eligible for an upgrade of my modem, and I was trying to find out if I replace the modem do I have to reconnect all my wireless equipment to the new modem or is there a way to transfer the setting from the current modem to the new modem?

user_tp1zrw, Thank you for reaching out to Xfinity Support with your question about upgrading your modem. If you are upgrading to one of Xfinity's modems and keeping your Network Username and Password the same, your wireless devices will automatically connect once you set up your new modem.

What about advanced settings like port forwarding?
