equipment shipment delay
Yesterday, after 3 hours dealing with customer service, I requested that the shipment of my equipment be delayed until I moved and I got tracking information today. I ended up placing the order over the phone as there was an issue with my phone number being attached to another account, so I couldn't complete the order online and make a new account. However, before got to that point, I was able to select a date for the equipment to ship, so I requested that same date on the phone with the agent. The agent had me complete the agreement once, I told them they didn't even ask about the shipping, they said they were sorry, they could delay it, but I'd need to do the agreement again, and I still got tracking info the next day. This is all after I repeatedly asked them to just fix the account and let me place the order myself online. 3 agents refused, claiming it would be easier if they did it for me. I said to each of them, I'm not confident you'll get this correct because they'd each messed up a portion of it. But they all refused. Xfinity is literally our only internet option, so I relented. And they got it incorrect, as I suspected they would.
Today, I'm being told that you can't select a date. As soon as you place an order the equipment ships. They are telling me that no matter what date I would've selected online, I'd still get the equipment immediately after. That the other agent lied to me and sent me a new agreement just because. And they want me to believe Xfinity had someone write code to put on a website with a drop down calendar and a notice that it would ship within 2 business days, just as a ruse and they were going to send it immediately whatever I selected. A prank? A gotcha?
I won't be at that address when it comes so I hope that equipment is okay for 15 days. Is this what I have to look forward to as far a service?
